Vancouver International Film Festival: BACI is proud to be a community sponsor of two inclusive offerings at the 2017 VIFF. Dina is being screened on Oct 7th and Oct 12th. Dina won the Grand Jury documentary prize at Sundance 17. It is the story of Dina and Scott who are in love and beginning a life together while negotiating the challenges that come with having disabilities. Breathe, which screened in September, is a biographical drama depicting the life of Robin Cavendish who, after becoming paralyzed by polio at age 28, became a tireless advocate for the disabled and a developer of devices to promote independence.
abOUT: abOUT is a community collaboration group for LGBTQIA2S+ people with intellectual disabilities. The group is about connecting, supporting and empowering folks to hold space for each other and with each other, to love and be loved .
