Infant (0-3)

  • The Infant Development Program serves children from birth to three years old, who are at risk for, or who already have a delay in development.  This family-centred program is available to families who are concerned about their child’s development and who wish to participate.  There is no need for a doctor’s referral.  Please visit the provincial program website: Infant Development Program
  • The At Home Program assists parents with some of the extraordinary costs of caring for a child with severe disabilities at home through a range of health supports and services.  There are eligibility requirements and a variety of  services available. Young children

  • The Early Intervention Therapy Program at the BC Centre for Ability offers therapy services in Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond and the North Shore  for children with developmental delays or disabilities, and support for their families.  Check out their website: BC Centre for Ability Anyone can make a referal to the program.  Please visit the PROVINCIAL SITE for more details.   

School-age (0-19)

  • Supported Child Developmen:  SCD provides a range of consulting and support services so that children with special needs, ages birth up to 12, can be included in regular child care settings. Check out these websites:
