Private Funders and Foundations:

The Giving in Actions Society:  The Giving in Action Society provides grants to families living in the province of British Columbia through two funds – the Family Independence Fund and the Children and Youth with Special Needs Fund. These grants enable families to stay together by addressing accessibility issues in their homes and communities.

Variety Club: Variety provides financial assistance for children who have special needs, with the costs of a wide range of equipment, therapies, educational, social and recreational programs.  NOTE you must supply proof that financial support is needed.

CKNW Orphan’s Fund:  Although our mandate is quite broad, they focus on three funding fields for special needs children that include therapies, specialized equipment and bursaries.   NOTE you must supply proof that financial support is needed.

Western Society for Children:  New Westminster group that specializes in small grants for equipment.

Endowment 150:  The Vancouver Foundation’s Initiative to help people with low incomes, Endowment 150  helps people to get started on saving through a RDSP.
