BACI Senior’s Committee Fall Luncheon: For our senior members, their sons and daughters and friends/supporters of the families.

BACI Family Skating Party: Mark your calendars now so you don’t miss this new Christmas family fun event! Burnaby Parks and Recreation has promised that ice sledges will be available for families to try and there will be extra parks staff to support non-skaters. BACI will have a table in the lobby for free refreshments during the event. Bring the whole family!
WHEN: Friday, December 9th 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
WHERE: Kensington Arena, 6159 Curtis St, just west of Sperling Avenue
COST: FREE! BACI will pay the entrance fees for a family of four.

BACI Children’s Services Fundraiser: Make your Christmas shopping so much easier by ordering your Purdy’s Chocolates on-line. A portion of the proceeds will go to support children’s programming at BACI.
WHEN: order from now to November 10th for pick up at Still Creek Centre after December 6th

WHY: It is for a good cause and this is soooo easy! No crowds, no parking, no hauling heavy bags around a mall. PLUS you get a card for 25% off of your purchases at the Purdy’s store on Kingsway for the next year. I saved a bundle on my Easter Candy last year!

Burnaby Public Libraries to feature artists of all abilities: Featuring the art of the Artists Helping Artists (AHA) artist’s co-operative. The City of Burnaby is celebrating the United Nations’ International Day of Persons with Disabilities December 3rd by sharing the works of fine art created by people of all abilities

Introduction to Synchronized Swimming: For teens/adults with a developmental disability who love to swim. The Burnaby Caprice Swim Club has expanded the age range to include swimmers from ages 12 – 40.

Cooking Program for Students: The Centre for Specialized Learning at the Down Syndrome Research Foundation is offering cooking lessons for youth aged 16 and up to increase independence by learning the basics of food preparation.
