There are some differences in the credit for children who are also eligible for the disability tax credit (DTC).
1.  The credit is available up to under age 18 for children who are eligible for the DTC but only under age 16 for typical children.
2.  If at least $100 in eligible expenses has been paid for an eligible child an additional 15% of $500 can also be claimed.
