BC Children’s Hospital Family Centred Care assessment survey. We complain about the distance we travel, the lack of and expense of parking, the poor accessibility, the horrible waiting rooms etc. at BCCH. This is a chance to have a say about what works and doesn’t work for you at BCCH. Please see the detailed explanation below:
In an effort to Partner with Families and strengthen our family centred care approaches BC Children’s Hospital has committed to completing an assessment designed to help hospital leaders, medical staff, employees and patients and families think about how the hospital, a department, or clinical area puts patient and family centred care in to practice. This tool will assist Partners in Care in creating a Family Centred Care Plan in line with the PHSA’s Strategic direction so that priorities for change and improvement can be determined.
Patient & Family Centred Care is a long-term journey and a commitment that evolves the changing needs and priorities of the organization and the individuals, families and communities it serves. The survey will roll out first to patients and families, then various staff and allied health members and finally to hospital community partners.
If you would be interested in filling out the survey please contact sgreig@cw.bc.ca
