CARF Accreditation Survey: Surveyors from CARF (The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission) will be visiting BACI to complete an External Accreditation Process.  BACI -like every other Community Living organization in BC – is required to go through an external review to make sure the standard of services we provide is in line with international best practices. Camp Spectacular: Burnaby Parks and Rec and BACI join to offer a summer day camp for children and youth with developmental disabilities. There will be swimming, cooking and day trips. See THE LEISURE GUIDE for more information.

ASD Research Initiative: The provincial government has announced funding for a pilot program to provide coaching for parents of children at risk of autism spectrum disorder. The program will be studied to see if this type of early intervention improves long term outcomes. The approach has particular promise for children in under served areas of the province.
