Special General Meeting: This short special meeting is being held so that our members can vote to update BACI’s by-laws and make them compliant with British Columbia’s Societies Act. To read the official Notice of the Special General Meeting, as well as the Special Resolution and proposed changes to the BACI Bylaws, click HERE.

October is Community Living Month: Check out what is going on on the Inclusion BC Website. This year the focus is on inclusive education as a decade of erosion of support for public education in BC has put gains made in inclusion at risk. See the Education Section of the Inclusion BC website for up-to-date resources and information.

The City of Burnaby Transportation Plan:  The City of Burnaby is updating its Transportation Plan. The first phase of making the new plan is setting the Vision, Themes and Goals. People who live, work or recreate in Burnaby are being encouraged to fill in the on-line QUESTIONNAIRE or participate in IN PERSON SESSIONS. This is an opportunity to ensure accessibility and inclusion are foundations of City of Burnaby development.

abOUT: abOUT is a community collaboration group for LGBTQIA2S+ people with intellectual disabilities. The group is about connecting, supporting and empowering folks to hold space for each other and with each other, to love and be loved . Burnaby Parks and Recreation Adapted Programs: While people with disabilities are encouraged to join any Burnaby Parks and Rec  program that appeals to them, a number of adapted programs are available. See THE WEBSITE or view THE ACCESS BROCHURE.
