CanAssist: This University of Victoria based program provides customized technologies and software so that all people have the opportunity to participate, contribute and reach their full potential. Their services are available to people in the Metro Vancouver area. Particularly check out their apps which are free to download.
My Self Serve: At the end of February, the Ministry of Social Development and Social Innovation introduced major changes to the way that British Columbians apply for and manage disability benefits and income assistance. A new on-line system called My Self Serve is now available. A short video is available to explain how to begin using the system. Disability Alliance BC has prepared A SUMMARY of the changes and has contact information for people experience problems with the new system.

Tax Assistance and Information for People with Disabilities: Disability Alliance BC has launched a new program to assist people who are receiving the Persons with Disabilities(PWD) benefit or the Persons with Persistent and Multiple Barriers(PPMB) benefit with simple income tax filings, information and referrals.
