Sports Fund Application
 
This fund is for Low Income Familes.  Children must be taking part in a sports program (not dance, arts etc.)  The application must be made by an AGENCY representative, not by the family.  If you would like more info. please call me (Carol) in Family Support @ 604.299.7851 (Loc 262) or email her at family.services@gobaci.com

VanCity - No Bank Charges for People with Disabilities
 
I know that people with disabilities who open an account get no monthly fees charged to their account. I could not find any specific information on their website but I am sure that if you contact your closest branch they will be able arrange for a no-fee account. Hey, that is about $7 a month!

Burnaby Parks and Recreation
 
Burnaby Parks has a Financial Assistance Program where you apply to receive credits but nowhere on their website do they say how much. For more information go to http://www.burnaby.ca/cityhall/departments/departments_parks/prksrc_lsrgd/prksrc_lsrgd_fnncla.html
 
Also, Burnaby Parks allows for attendants to accompany and work out/swim beside a person with a disability without a charge. Burnaby...
